%X The paving at the BR-163 road has been topic of many discussions the last few years due to its consequences. The deforestation is one of the results generated that can not be avoided. This fact demands planned and put together actions to diminish the problem, promoting a better land use in terms of food production and income generation. Some actions have been started by the sustainable developing plan in the coverage area of BR-163 road. This research intends to generate spatial information about the land use through the mapping approaches and participating rural producers, analyzing specifically the producing categories dominant and their relation to deforestation along the Rurópolis city, Para State.
